Name: Braak Naxar
Species: Human
Rank: Jedi Knight
Character History:
Braak Naxar was found on the planet of Aeton in the region of the Core Worlds as a young child by a Jedi Master who was there as part of his research. Upon finding the child by mere accident, living with his parents, and sensing his force sensitivity, the Jedi Master asked his parents for permission to take him back to the Jedi Temple where he would be tested and hopefully trained to become a Jedi. At first, Braak's parents were extremely reluctant, not trusting the strange Jedi who had come to them and asked for their only child.
Although on Aeton, the people were extremely loyal to the Republic and also the Jedi peace-keepers, Braak's parents did not like the idea of their own child being whisked away from them to be trained as - what they perceived as - a soldier. The Jedi Master realised that Braak had great potential and influence of the force and continuously tried to gain his parents' permission and sought it upon himself to keep trying. As a Jedi, it was one his duties to find others to train in the ways of the force. It had occured to the master several times to use the force to influence his parents' decision but it was not how he wanted to do things. He didn't want to have to make them agree. He wanted them to allow him to take their son.
After many weeks of trying to sway the young boys parents' to let him leave with him they finally succumb to his pleas. They realised, at last, that it was far better off if their son was to go on to be a Jedi; a keeper of peace and justice throughout the galaxy. As soon as the Jedi Master had permission to take the child, they left the planet of Aeton and made their way to the planet of Coruscant where the young Braak Naxar would flourish into a fully-fledged Jedi.
As Braak was only a child during the time that he was brought to the Jedi Temple, he couldn't fully re-call the happenings of what happened. As he began to grow up here in the Temple, he forgot all about his parents back on the planet of Aeton; they were nothing but a distant memory in the deepest part of his consciousness. The Jedi Master who had brought him here had maintained a close relationship with the boy throughout his training as a youngling and later on had also become his master. His name was Master Ja'al Xyi. Underneath Master Ja'al Xyi's wing, Braak had begun to flourish as a successful and competent Jedi Padawan.
For years, the Jedi mentor and his padawan completed mission after mission successfully which ranged from arresting Bounty Hunters to Smugglers that were operating within Republic Systems. One such mission took place back on Braak's homeworld of Aeton.
Master Ja'al Xyi and his padawan learner Braak Naxar had returned to Aeton for the first time since that day 28 years ago when Braak had been but a baby. Their reason for being here was strictly political and they were acting as mere bodyguards for the senator of Aeton who, it was believed, had had constant attempts on his life by a small group of mercenaries who were trying to fight back against the republic for reasons unknown.
Ja'al Xyi and Braak had both arrived in civillian clothing so not to raise any doubts about their true intentions. Though it was civillian clothing, it had been embroided with extravagant designs so that it would seem flamboyant and pricey - as people associating with the senator would appear. Braak had found himself having an inner-conflict with his emotions as he so desperately tried to extinguish the curiosity he had to go and seek out his parents, but he knew better. His master, Ja'al Xyi, could sense his inner-conflict and continuously tried to keep him calm and remind him of his mission.
The mission lasted but several days until the two Jedi had found the source of the trouble for the senator. They quickly dealt with the matter, arresting the mercenaries with minimal casualties and were hurridly returning to Coruscant. On their return journey, Master Ja'al Xyi had told Braak that he had requested an audience with the Jedi Council for Braak to take the trials to Knighthood. As soon as they arrived on Coruscant, they headed for the council chambers where Braak was ready to take the trials.
Unsurprisingly, Braak had passed. He no longer needed a master. Ja'al Xyi had successfully trained his padawan learner so that he could advance to the next stages of the Jedi ranks and was now eligible to take on his own apprentice.

Braak emerged from his private dormitory in the Jedi Temple earlier than usual wearing his usual brown over-alls with his bage tunic underneath. His hair seemed a little crazier than usual as he had been putting himself through vigorous studying and training lately, striving to further improve himself. The normally-neat stubble that covered his chin like a haunting shadow was slowly beginning to grow considerably as he had been neglecting his appearence for a while now. As his door slid closed behind him, he quickly turned down the long corridor towards the archives near the centre of the temple. On his way, he got quick nods from his fellow Jedi with the occasional, "Good morning, Master Braak," or from the occasional youngling and padawan that was unfamiliar with him, "Good morning, master." It gave him a slight warmth inside when he heard the younger Jedi showing their respect to him.
Braak rounded into the main rotunda of the Jedi archives and approached the main desk at the foremost part of it where a Jedi was sitting. It was the Chief Librarian of the Jedi Archives. As Braak approached, the Jedi looked up. "Ah, Master Naxar. You're up rather early today. You're also looking quite tired. Is something wrong?" despite the calmness in the female Jedi's voice, there was still the hint of compassion behind it.
"Everything's fine. It's just my training has recently got the best of me. I've been continuously studying and meditating, trying to hone my skills to perfection," Braak replied with a gruff smile.
"Indeed. I'd suggest you tried eating something soon, Master Naxar, or I dare say you'll collapse, haha," she said with a sweet laugh at the end. As she said it, she placed her hand onto the terminal infront of her as a datacard popped out from a slot beneath it. She handed over the datacard to Braak. "Good luck with your research, Master," the woman nodded as Braak turned away. As he walked past the desk, he headed straight for the middle aisle of the archives to the usual data terminal he had been using for the last several days. He placed himself down infront of it and inserted his datacard into the slot. The machine beeped to life as it uploaded all of the past research he had been doing on it onto the screen. "Aeton" appeared across the screen of the terminal. Braak quickly put his hand down and began to scan through the information before him.
